Predictions

Optimization for Direct-Indirect Models 

 

This release introduces the ability for users to utilize predictions for Direct-Indirect models. With enhanced designs and additional functionalities, users can now gain deeper insights into the driving factors behind their optimization processes. 


Updated Predictions Designs: Prediction capabilities have been revamped with fresh designs to offer users a more intuitive and insightful experience. 

Output Card Enhancements: Output cards now feature a pie chart illustrating the distribution between direct and indirect components for Direct-Indirect models. Additionally, the chart highlights the most probable volume achievable with the current plan. 

Expected Media Generated Sales Calculation: Expected media generated sales are calculated as a range of means for Direct-Indirect Models, ensuring more robust and accurate estimations. While for the Sales models, it remains the same what we use to show in the older designs. 

Input and Output Tabs: Users can easily navigate between Input and Output tabs located at the top of the page. In the Input tab, users can review the input parameters provided during prediction initiation. Conversely, the Output tab displays the main Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with Media Insights. 


  • Users can easily access the overview of all main KPIs relevant to their optimization process which are in the Media Insights. 
  • By clicking on a specific KPI in the summary card or selecting the corresponding tab at the top, users can drill down for detailed insights into the dimensions associated with that KPI. 
  • Among the three cards displayed, the leftmost card represents the user's input, while the remaining cards offer alternate suggestions from the platform with and without constraints. 
  • When a card is moved to the leftmost position, the values from the other two cards are compared against it. This comparison is visually represented with values displayed in green or red, indicating whether they surpass or fall short in comparison to the card on the left. 
  • Each card is equipped with "Modify" and "Save Plan" options, allowing users to adjust the plans according to their preferences and save them to activity folders for future reference. 
  • Additionally, users have the capability to download an Excel file containing an overview of the input, investment, and main objectives combined. The Excel file also includes a direct-indirect sheet for further analysis and reference.


These comprehensive functionalities provide users with versatile tools for evaluation, customization, and detailed analysis of their optimization plans.

Modify Media Investment from Predictions and Activity Page 

 

This release introduces a convenient new feature that allows users to modify the "Media Investment" directly from the Predictions and Activity pages, providing enhanced ease of use and flexibility. 


  • Seamless Modification: Users now can easily adjust their "Media Investment" directly from the Predictions and Activity pages, streamlining the process and saving time. 
  • Enhanced Accessibility: This feature offers users greater accessibility and control over their optimization strategies by enabling modifications to be made from multiple pages within the platform. 
  • Improved Flexibility: In the event of a failed or successfully completed prediction, users were previously unable to update the "Media Investment". However, with this feature, users can now make updates regardless of the prediction status, enhancing flexibility and adaptability. 


This new feature empowers users with increased control and flexibility, allowing them to optimize their media investments more effectively and efficiently.

Enhanced Constraints Setup in Predictions Popup Page 

 

This release introduces significant improvements to the constraint’s setup functionality within the Predictions popup page, providing users with greater flexibility and control over their optimization processes. 


  • Expanded Dimensional Constraints: Previously, users were limited to setting constraints for only one dimension and its variable. With this feature enhancement, users can now add constraints for multiple combinations of drilled-down dimensions, significantly increasing the granularity of optimization possibilities. 
  • Streamlined Workflow: The workflow remains familiar to users, with the addition of the ability to add multiple combinations of dimensions when setting constraints. Upon clicking "Add Constraint," users will now see a new line with fields for Amount, Type, Period, and Dimensions. Users can add multiple combinations of dimensions to these constraints. 
  • Validation Checks: Before adding constraints, the system will perform validation checks to ensure the investment is ranged in between the mentioned Media Investment. As it ensures that constraints are correctly configured before running predictions. 
  • Visibility in UI and Downloads for successful predictions: After running predictions, successful results will be visible in the UI Input “Brief” tab as well as in the downloaded Excel file. This provides users to check the constraints which were given at the start of the prediction. 
  • Rerun for Failed Predictions: In the event of failed predictions, users can make changes to the dimensions and rerun the predictions. This iterative process allows users to refine their constraints and optimize their strategies effectively.

Business Insights+:

Data evolution table in Evolution over time

 

In Business Insight+, users can now access a tabular format data table view under "Evolution Over Time" for enhanced data understanding. This feature can be accessed from the "View As" dropdown menu. 


  • Three Different Views: Users have the option to choose between three different types of views in Evolution Over Time: 
  • Timeline View: Displays a stacked bar graph with the Total and previous year line for comparison. The stacked chart can be resized when filtered by drivers on clicking the focus button.  
  • Graphical Table: Display as data along with a bar chart, which users can adjust by focusing on columns or the entire table. 
  • Data View: Data is presented in tabular format only, providing a straightforward view of the information. 
  • Functionality Options: 
    • Download Options: Users can download displayed values or the full dataset, either grouped or granular, for further analysis. 
    • Column Reordering and Selecting/Deselecting Drivers: Columns can be reordered based on user preferences, allowing for customized data presentation. Also, can select or deselect the drivers which the user wants in the table.

General Improvements 

 

In Business Insights, we've implemented several enhancements to the Tree-map and Waterfall chart functionalities, enhancing user understanding and usability. 


Tree map and Waterfall Chart improvements: 

  • Positive negative contributor header with Driver Count: For both Waterfall and Tree map charts now include a header displaying the count of drivers, enabling users to differentiate between positive and negative driver contributions more effectively. 
  • Driver Display on Hover: Hovering over the chart header now displays the selected drivers, providing users with immediate insight of the drivers selected or drilled down to. 
  • Aggregated main objective with Contributions: The chart header also includes information on aggregated main objective (for ex. sales), along with positive and negative contributions, offering a comprehensive overview of the data. 

 

Waterfall Chart Visual Enhancements: 

  • Double Shaded Bar Chart: For drivers with both positive and negative contributions, the waterfall chart now features a double shaded bar chart, enhancing visualization and facilitating easier interpretation of the data.

Media Insights+: 

Support for Activity Overlay for Direct-Indirect Models 

 

Activity Overlay feature on the Media Insights+ page, enhancing users' ability to analyse and understand the impact of activities on Direct-Indirect Models.

  • Enabling Activities for Direct-Indirect Models: Users can now enable activities for Direct-Indirect Models directly from the Activity Module. Once enabled, activities will be visible in the "Media Performance Over Time" chart within Media Insights+ for the specified period. 
  • Deep Dive Capability: By clicking on the Overlay in the "Media Performance Over Time" chart, users can dive deeper into activity performance. The cards and table will update to display how the activity performed, the predicted results, real-time results, and whether the results exceeded predictions. 
  • Performance Colour Indications: The activity overlay has been updated with performance colour indications, providing users with an overview of how predictions performed against actual results when multiple activities are enabled. 
  • Download & Deactivation Capability: Users have the option to download the data into an Excel file for further analysis and use. Activity can be deactivated directly from the activity overlay, providing users capability to easily download and deactivate the activity when needed.

Addition of “Data view” widget  

 

The Data View widget in Media Insights+, providing users with enhanced control over data presentation, time granularity, and hierarchy customization. 

A small icon will be visible in Media Insights+, allowing users to access the Data View widget. Upon clicking the icon, users can make changes to three options: 


Data Presentation: Users can switch between "Direct-Indirect" and "Combined" views. Enabling or disabling the button will reflect the split or combined view for the entire page. Additionally, users can also select the desired option for specific effect (Combined, Direct & Indirect) from the global filter under the "Effect" dropdown.

Time Granularity: Users can select the granularity for the "Media Performance Over Time" chart, allowing for different levels of detail based on the data.

Hierarchy: Users can customize the hierarchy and enable/disable dimensions as needed. Changes to the hierarchy will be reflected in cards and tables. Enabled/disabled or reordered dimensions will affect the global filter's "Showing" dropdown, providing users with flexibility in selecting dimensions.

Global Filter Enhancements

 

Few of the enhancements which were made to the Global Filter functionality, making it cleaner and simpler to use across the platform. 


Consistent Coloration: Selecting any driver across the platform no longer changes the colour in the global filter. Instead, the global filter now maintains a consistent colour throughout changes to any of the drivers.  


Enhanced Interaction with Graphs and Cards:  Interactions with graphs in Business Insights and cards in Media Insights have been improved to provide users with a better understanding of drilled-down dimensions and selections. 

  1. Improved Display of Drilled-Down Dimensions: Drilled-down dimensions are now displayed in a clearer and more intuitive manner to better understand the hierarchy.  
  • Hover-over Global Filter Overview: When interacting with graphs in Business Insights or cards in Media Insights, hovering over the global filter provides users with a comprehensive overview of the selections made, enhancing visibility, and understanding.

Landing Page Improvement for Multiple Models/Organisations

 

In this release, we have enhanced the landing page to accommodate users who have access to more than 24 organizations or for organizations that have more than 24 models. These improvements provide a more user-friendly experience and streamline navigation. 

  • Pagination for Organisations/Models: The landing page now displays organizations or models across multiple pages, making it easier for users to navigate through large sets of data. Users can navigate between pages using intuitive pagination controls given at bottom. 
  • Search Functionality: A search bar has been added, allowing users to search for specific organizations or models quickly and efficiently. Users can enter keywords or names to filter the list and navigate to the desired organization or model.
